The Benefits of Travel are Endless!

Global travel builds enthusiasm for gaining knowledge by seeing and experiencing current events, history, culture, art, architecture, people, and belief systems. It allows students and others to connect lessons learned to real life experiences. By experiencing other cultures, international travel aids in understanding, appreciating, and celebrating cultural differences and languages. Group travel also helps to teach leadership, decision-making, consensus-building, communication, and collaborative skills to help everyone become a better citizen of our global community.

Lincoln College offers students and others (minimum 18 years of age) the opportunity to visit international countries. Recent previous Global Studies travel adventures have included destinations to Hungary, the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, England, Ireland, Wales, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. A Lincoln College professor escorts the travelers. The professor works individually with each student in directing their writing and research pre-trip, journaling during the trip, and a writing a reflection paper post-trip for the required assignments to earn the credit. You may also travel without earning college credit.
